Happy Democracy day guys.
Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend.
This week’s food monday review is about another fairly new spot. This time we checked out a restaurant in a boutique hotel which should count as a #Newspotalert as they have only been open a few months.
We noticed this spot from our usual scouts to see what is new. We spotted the new building and decided to have dinner at ‘The Nook‘ last weekend.
See pictures from the dinner – Chilli chicken penne pasta
The restaurant is one of those places you might consider as hidden and suitable for solo dining. Its location and also because it is new so not that many people know about the restaurant.
It kinda reminds us of Angle villa, they have a similar setting boutique hotel, restaurant, lounge and pool area. The restaurant was nicely decorated and was empty. Since the restaurant is located downstairs and close to the entrance the door kept opening and closing. Most people went to the lounge but there was good foot traffic there. Also the loud music from the lounge mades its way to the restaurant and there was no way of escaping that.
Food – The menu was basic and short. They did not have much to offer but the basics. We planned to order their Gourmet burger but apparently they did not have that. Instead the waiter offered Club sandwich and seafood okra as options LMAO.
We went ahead to order the Chilli chicken penne pasta. Wait time was 30 minutes and even though we were starving. They served us nuts to groom our appetite before dinner was ready.
The chilli chicken pasta was really good and very spicy. We sorta underestimated how spicy it would be but it was extremely easy. However they could reduce the sauce because after we finished the penne we had a lot of sauce left in the plate.
