Today’s Food Monday discovery post is about how we unravelled another #Newspotalert in Lekki. Following the buzz about this new hot spot, we took ourselves on a Lunch date with a friend to Brass and Copper Lekki.
First impression, we loved the space way more than what we anticipated from outside. The ambiance had a different feel and we couldn’t wait to explore Brass and Copper.
Contrary to what we thought, Brass and copper is divided into two, the bar which is the area you see when you walk in and then the restaurant. Surprisingly, the restaurant’s kitchen is managed by Case Lydia.
For Lunch, we had Marsala Chicken with steamed rice and our friend had Spicy steak pasta at Brass and copper Lekki. See pictures below.
Customer service was good, the waiter was pretty much around us all the time. We were alone a the restaurant for a while.
The space was cool, it had that vibe of making you feel relaxed.
We thought their menu had a lot of varieties until they fell our hand a bit. We asked to order somethings on the menu and they said they were out of it. This is a normal thing for new restaurants in Lagos but we expected more.
The waiter told us the options available and we realised it was limited. We eventually tweaked the options and ordered Chicken Marsala sauce with mashed potatoes along with Steak pasta. They offered to change the cream base for the pasta to tomato base and also made it spicy at our friends request.
Our friend also ordered Virgin strawberry Daiquiri from the bar, we were told they don’t usually offer virgin cocktails (Take note when visiting) but it was made based on request. The virgin Daiquiri looked sexy, our friend thought it was too much (Good value).
They served us nuts and chin chin while we waited. The food was served around 30 minutes after. To our surprise, they served us chicken marsala sauce with rice, we asked for mashed potatoes. The waiter forgot to mention they were also out of it as well. So we had to eat the rice even if they offered to make something else.
The aroma of the Steak pasta was everywhere we couldn’t wait to dig in. When we finally dug in, it was really good and spicy. The rice however, did not appear so enticing to us but the chicken marsala sauce was made with marsala wine, which made it sweet. It would have been so perfect with mashed potatoes.
We thought the food was actually good. The prices were fair and slightly cheaper than we expected. We noticed the price of their burger was N3000 also their breakfast options around N3000. The meals were not over priced in our opinion.
What we had & Where
Steak pasta – N4,500
Chicken Marsala with rice – N4,000
Daiquiri – N3,000
